LAKEDOWN TAPROOM

Heathfield

Lakedown Brewing Co. is a family run, independent brewery and Tap room in the beautiful countryside bordering Heathfield and Mayfield. Known for its modern and traditional beers in can, bottle, keg and cask, the brewery also has a hidden gastronomic gem in the form of a taproom, tucked away down a long country lane, and situated beside the brand’s eponymous fishing lakes. While winters are for cosy pints in front of the fire in the low beam taproom, the venue really comes alive in Spring and summer, with regular food trucks, pop ups and live events taking place, lakeside, each weekend. The perfect place to sample exciting street food while sipping on a cold, local beer.

Sunday 7th April

THE BELL

TICEHURST

The Bell is renowned for its exciting pop ups and supper clubs, many of which are held in the stunning stables along the long central table, or outside in the magical gardens. The team at The Bell have now transformed the stables to become a space for a new series of seasonal supper club nights, launching in late April. The perfect place to eat the season, and enjoy hyper local produces.

Friday 26th April

FARM TO FORK WITH FLETCHER’S FLOCK

Stuart Fletcher breeds and tends sheep in and around Wadhurst, on the Kent and East Sussex border in the old-fashioned way, following in the footsteps of itinerant shepherds. Having ‘popped up’ at The Bell before, Stuart is collaborating with the restaurant for a special supperclub that celebrates his local meat and seasonal produce. For £49 per head, guests can enjoy a three-course menu that includes the likes of Salad of Pork with confit belly, scotch egg, apple, lovage and chicory with Sauternes jus and Lamb Cutlet, braised lamb shoulder, with crispy Colcannon croquette, a pea & mint puree, and asparagus.

Visit The Bell’s website to book.
