The Village was set up by food and drink photographer, Carla Barber and Restaurant, Hotel and Bar PR Director, Anne Kapranos to create a community of likeminded professionals living in and around the villages of the Weald in Kent and East Sussex.

• The Village is a curated community of all the best this region has to offer and we hope our members will find our events inspiring, motivating and beneficial.

• We don’t charge a membership fee to join, but we do request that our members agree to support the rest of the community, through special rates, cross-promotions, referrals and, even better, through joint ventures and partnerships.

• The Village organises an exclusive networking evening every two months where members old and new can talk about new developments, chat through ideas, and meet people who can help their business in some way. These will take place amongst the vines, in unique event spaces, pubs, hotels, restaurants, and distilleries.

• As well as this we will organise two annual public facing events: a summer festival and a winter fair, which celebrates all the members of the village have to offer.

• We also run a monthly newsletter that goes out to subscribers across the weald, containing news, recipes, promotions and details of events.
